'KODU means home:
a note from the owners.'
For nearly a decade, we lived in Estonia’s Lahemaa National Park, where we owned and operated a forest retreat and spa called Projekt-Kodu — “Project Home.” Today, we’re bringing those experiences and traditions to Denver through KODU Bathhouse.
In Estonia, Finland, and across Northern Europe, sauna culture is deeply social and woven into everyday life. While public bathhouses exist, the most meaningful experiences often happen at home — in apartment buildings, backyards, lakeside cabins, and gathering places shared with friends and family. That’s the culture we became part of.
We spent countless hours moving between the sauna, cold water, fresh air, food, conversation, and quiet moments of reflection. Sauna was never about optimization. It was a way to slow down, reconnect, and spend meaningful time together.
KODU is inspired those experiences: relaxed, social, atmospheric, and deeply human.

The Thermal Circuit
Creating contrast to find balance.

Hot.
Sweat it out in one of our authentic Nordic saunas (180–200°), warming the body and preparing you for contrast.

Cold.
Cold plunges (35–45°) deliver an immediate full-body reset. A quick immersion boosts circulation, sharpens focus, and revitalizes the senses.

Relax.
Quiet spaces to drift, reset, and follow the journey of heat and cold back to yourself. Rest, hydrate, and let your body settle into the rhythm of the ritual.
KODU, Beyond the Space.
